Christian Kis is Managing Director and system engineer at NEXTRAIL Austria GmbH in Vienna. His railway-specific expertise is based on many years of professional experience on the operator side in the context of realisation projects as well as in cooperation with international committees.
 
Before joining NEXTRAIL as managing director and system engineer, he initially coordinated new construction and expansion projects in the field of control-command and signalling system at ÖBB Infrastruktur AG until 2016. After a three-year change of industry to the construction sector, he was responsible for national projects as a technology specialist for ETCS and EULYNX and was involved in international working groups, e.g. on ETCS key management. He is still active in an international environment today, in particular for the European consortium EULYNX.
 
Christian Kis completed his A-levels at the IT-HTL Ybbs a.d. Donau, specialising in network technology.

ETCS System Compatibility Checks must be carried out for the on-board subsystem (in accordance with TSI CCS) as part of the approval process in accordance with the 4th Railway Package.
 
Support of several rolling stock manufacturers with ESC checks in Austria and fulfilment of the role of ESC Test Manager, in accordance with the process description in the TSI CCS Application Guide (GUI/CCS TSI/2020) for various rolling stock projects.
The EULYNX Deployment Cluster has been supporting its members in implementing the EULYNX specifications as part of for national strategy since 2023.
 
National requirements of the infrastructure operators are aligned with the EULYNX requirements to ensure a high degree of compliance and the least possible deviation. 
 
Christian Kis is in charge of these activities and coordinates the EULYNX Deployment Cluster. 
EULYNX was founded as a consortium of railway infrastructure managers. EULYNX members include leading European infrastructure managers who are jointly committed to the standardisation of interfaces in the interlocking sector. EULYNX is actively involved in various key activities that contribute to the further development of signalling technology.  
 
Christian Kis is involved in setting up and is part of the team of trainers at the EULYNX Academy, which operates worldwide. The EULYNX Academy is open to all stakeholders who want to use or understand EULYNX.
