Rapid provision of digital inventory data for planning purposes
NEXTRAIL carried out the infrastructure data acquisition in the Munich digital node, including the trunk and feeder lines on the route between Pasing and Munich Leuchtenbergring. The TRAXIMIZER was used to collect the data on 24 and 25 April 2024. Comprehensive digital inventory data of the 1st S-Bahn main line was recorded to enable a detailed analysis. Particular attention was paid to updating all planning-relevant infrastructure objects required for the ETCS preliminary planning phase.
The updated as-built data is provided for the relationship between the Pasing main line and Ostbahnhof.
The digital exchange format PlanPro for specialised railway data was used to enable the planner to easily use the data records in the planning tools. In addition, the as-built data for all access routes to the main line was provided in the same format. To ensure precise analysis, LiDAR-based 3D point clouds were used, which were additionally enriched with aerial survey data.
The combination of track inspection, video and drone data as well as the topographically accurate integration of the track network data creates a reliable basis for ETCS planning. Post-processing of the data and integration into a central geo-referenced database enables comprehensive digital data representation, which is made available both as a CAD drawing and in special planning formats for subsequent planning processes.
